For those of you familiar with Burmese Padauk furniture, you may
never have seen the dramatic contrast between the brick red heartwood and
wheat-colored sapwood. Here, instead of leaving the sapwood on the veneer room
floor, we used it for dramatic effect.
The butterfly leaf (shown as it
opens) tucks under the table, then opens to reveal itself when
needed.
